Our planned trip to sumatra positioned in the “ ring of fire “ looks like it may have to be postponed as the second eruption in one day burst again in Indonesia’s volcano of Sinabung in North Sumatra on Friday afternoon, We are really hoping that we will be able to visit the orang-utan rehab centre at Bukit Lawang and then head up to Danua Toba which is supposed to be Sumatras prettiest volcanic lake for a few days amist some mind blowing scenery .
If it was just myself and Eric we would have no hesitation in taking the chance to go there this week as planned and would love the bit of a risk factor but alas as the wee kiddies are with us we will have to behave like responsible adults and maybe leave it till after Bali , Lombok and Gili Islands . Lets hope it doesn’t cause too much damage and that there is something left to see in a few weeks .
