We go for a walk along the Bund (Old German concession) starting at Nanjing road east. When we get to the promenade we stop to get our barings, big mistake, we get mobbed. Not for the first time but on a bigger scale.
We are surrounded by Chinese with camera’s and camera phones (see Photo). Elka is none too happy, Axel laps it up. It is so funny, I have to pretend to take photos of Elka, she will smile for my camera, in order to let them at least get a picture of her smiling, not giving them her usual scowl, with pointed finger, screaming , whyyootakinpiduresofme gooohawaaaay. Axel thinks he’s a rock star and boy can he turn it on for the camera.
